If you plan a California road trip, you should also visit Las Vegas. We spent 3 days in the “city that never sleeps”, where I would like to have spent a 4th day there.
Las Vegas Strip
Each hotel has its own theme on the Las Vegas Strip. The “New York, New York”, for example, was inspired by the big city, in front of the “Paris Las Vegas” even stands the Eiffel Tower and the “Luxor” was built, for example, in the form of a pyramid. You are allowed to see all the hotels from the inside.
We stayed at the hotel “The Venetian”. The hotel was inspired by Venice. The Venetian has picturesque ceilings and a landscaped river that leads to the interior of the hotel. On a gondola you can end the day romantically on the water surface.
The Venetian, outside the hotel
The Venetian, the painted sky on the inside looks amazingly real.
The Venetian has a rooftop pool on the 4th floor of the building. People on this floor are celebrating bachelor parties. Loud music was played and the people were in party mood. If you like to party, this is the place for you.
On the last day in Las Vegas we discovered the beautiful 11th floor in the Venetian Hotel. There are also several pools on this floor, but in contrast to the 4th floor it was very idyllic and romantic. If you like it quiet and relaxed, you are at the right place.
All hotels include a casino and you can play in any casino when you turn 21 years. Most of all I played the dice game “Craps”, also called “Seven Eleven”.
Helicopter flight over Las Vegas
We booked a helicopter flight over Las Vegas at night. I can warmly recommend that. It was breathtakingly beautiful.
The next day was the turn over the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I was especially looking forward to this flight. I will never forget the flight, it was indescribable.
For the drive from the hotel to the airport we treated ourselves to a limousine, which wasn’t much more expensive than the taxi. So we had a spectacular finish, suitable for Las Vegas.
Have you ever been to Las Vegas? What did you like the most? Let me know and write it down in the comments. I’m looking forward to reading about your experiences!
